This morning, the silent beauty of Canada’s icy waters was shattered and transformed into a killing field.
The annual slaughter of baby seals has begun: As you read this, seals are being clubbed to death in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Will you help me save these beautiful creatures?
Already, the disappearing ice caused by global warming has devastated seal populations. It's estimated that more than a quarter of the seal pups have died. And the survivors are now being targeted in the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet.
After my years on the ice with the ProtectSeals team, here’s what I want you to know: The Humane Society of the United States will be here until we stop the seal hunt forever.
